i-Series (2008)
These two works I love you to death and I never felt more like a woman, together with the video I found myself moving were made as part of research into locating oneself within space, whatever the term 'space' might constitute. Whether it be an object as in I love you to death, which explores the space of history, and represents an emotional space by a physical manipulation through process. Or, as in I never felt more like a woman, which gives attention to the questioning and exploring of identity within gender and cultural limitations and definitions. Or perhaps, as in I found myself moving, where the physical action and exploration of a specific space can incite a psychological and philosophical awareness of self.
