Bernice Ong (b. Singapore) is an artist, production designer and cultural producer working across the visual and performing arts. She is interested in the many politics of space, seeing urban environments as embodied interfaces engaged within an evolving ecology of relations.
The projects featured on this website comprise a mix of her creative works as a scenic designer for performance (2011-ongoing) as well as early works (2008-2012) in painting, installation, time-based media, and documentation of projects as a solo performance maker. She holds a Masters in Media Studies (Research) from Utrecht University and has a BFA in Drawing and Painting and a BA (Honours) in Media, Film and Theatre from the University of New South Wales. As a cultural worker, Bernice has had a diverse portfolio over the last decade, providing curatorial, programming, design, and technical support to local and international artists and organisations. Bernice looks forward to cross-disciplinary research and collaborations and invites you to contact her for further conversation. |
