Bernice Ong is an artist working across visual and live formats. Her practice is primarily concerned with the experience and memories of transitory environments - from the individual perspective within migratory phenomena, to the larger scale impact of changing cityscapes. The aesthetics of her work take their cue from the oft-vibrant and hard edge geometry found in urban landscapes, but also celebrate the subtlety and nuances of their shifting colours and forms through time.
Bernice has a Bachelor of Fine Arts / Arts from the University of New South Wales and the College of Fine Arts in Sydney (Australia), graduating from the Performance Studies program with honours. Contemplating space in all its form as a visual artist, Bernice also works in theatrical spaces as a designer and technician.
