Bernice Ong (b. 1988, Singapore) is an artist, production designer and cultural producer working across the visual and performing arts. As an artist and researcher, Bernice is interested in the politics of space, seeing urban environments as embodied interfaces engaged within an evolving ecology of relations.
The projects featured on this website comprise a mix of her creative works as a spatial designer for performance (2011-ongoing) as well as early works (2008-2012) in painting, installation, time-based media, and documentation of projects as a solo performance maker.
She is currently completing her Research Masters in Media, Art and Performance Studies at Utrecht University and has a BFA / BA (Hon.) in Drawing and Painting, and Theatre and Performance Studies from the University of New South Wales. As a cultural worker, Bernice has had a diverse portfolio over the last decade, managing arts grants and project commissions, and providing curatorial, design, and technical support. Bernice looks forward to collaborations across all forms of expression and invites you to contact her for further conversation.
